Lost my Head - Reflections on 2021

Happy Wednesday everybody, I hope the holidays treated you all well! With this being my final post of 2021, I thought it would be fitting to go down memory lane and look through different shoots and moments from throughout the year. It’s interesting to see so many faces, memories, and styles all next to each other, makes me better understand where my head goes when I pull the camera up to my eye.
Naturally, with the approach of the new year, I find myself being very reflective. 2021 was the first year that I took photography sersiously enough to call myself a professional. Coming out of school, it took a while for me to shake off the imposter syndrome, it took a while to feel like I was actually a professional, but things clicked into place more and more with each project.
Funny enough, it wasn’t until I started this blog that I finally felt like I was really contributing something to my career as an artist. Having something to continually come back to- the self-imposed pressure to always have something to show each week- it really pushed me to keep working and keep grinding away at something I loved doing.
I have no idea what this upcoming year holds in store for me, I only know that I will be going through it with a camera in my hands.
With that I wish you all a very happy New Year, I look forward to future shenanigans and adventures and being able to share with you all of the memories captured over the next 12 months.
