Milestones

With the bedlam of the holidays before us, I thought I would take this week to share a few stills from a concert a shot a few weeks back for The Ghost Club, a local Pittsburgh band that has begun to make quite the names for themselves in the local scene.

Most of these shots were taken on the Fuji XF 50-140mm f/2.8 R LM OIS WR (the longest name for glass I’ve ever seen). I had been missing a strict telephoto zoom from my kit and this shoot was it’s first major test. I’m happy to say that it performed beautifully, I will certainly be using it again.

In the spirit of the holidays and being reflective (because that seems to be what this blog has turned into) I would also like to write a note about making an effort to simply be happy and put happiness into the world. I’ve been espectially aware of my level of gratitude for life as of late and this simple recognition has done wonders for my mental health and the general happiness of my environments. I think, as a photographer, I am drawn to the concept of capturing and preserving a moment in time, and that comes from a place of gratitude for the moment altogether. I’m working on bringing that same energy to other areas of my life as well.

Not much to put down today, but I still wanted to share some work. Sending love and happy holidays from my home to yours.
