Overgrowth

I’m two weeks into this blog and already, having a platform to myself is a huge breath of fresh air.

This last week we saw some pretty heavy rainstorms near my house. I decided to risk the weather and see what kind of aquatic alternate universe my town had become. More recently, I have been very interested in texture, so the rain was a nice way for me to explore that a little bit.

One thing I really like about where I live now are all the plants and flowers I see around me on my walks. Coming from downtown, it is refreshing to start seeing some nature again.

Admitedly, these last few days have been a bit personally challenging. I think taking some time to move my gaze away from the life in front of me and toward the little details amongst the mundane is precisely what I need to do right now.

Until next week.
